polishing chrome ...

I spent some time today polishing up the chrome top to my stove. The results were OK, but it's not like i got a full mirror finish on everything... Anyone have any experience polishing up old rusty chrome that they'd like to share?

I asked Stevan Thomas of vintagestoves.com what he recommended for chrome tops. He said to get Never Dull, found at any automotive shop, to clean up and polish chrome. Amazingly enough I happened to own some already. It comes in a short round silver can and is made by Eagle. When you open the can it looks like rock wool.

P.S. Stevan, even though he is super busy, was kind enough to give me advice on several occasions. If I had just a little more disposable income he would definately get my money for a restored stove.

Hey Victor, I'm sending you a box of Rock Wool. When you receive it, take a hand full, spray it with WD-40 and polish that chrome. I bet you can save 4 bucks on that Never Dull!
